Wetlands are among the world’s most important environmental assets. Wetlands control floods, protect coastal zones and contribute to the hydrological characteristics of river systems. In addition they host a great diversity of species and are of cultural and economic importance to local and indigenous communities. Sierra Piedmont is committed to finding common ground between development and maintaining our natural resources.
